Bio of Bryan Stephens
Family:
Married Jeanette Knighton. We have six
children: Jason 23, Julie 21, Sheri 18, Kailynn 17, Emily 14, Allen 13. Jason served in the Chile Antofagasta
mission and had some wonderful experiences. He is attending Weber State in
Ogden studying Chemistry and Physics. Julie is a senior at Weber State and is
driving us nuts as we are waiting for her mission call. She will graduate with top honors
academically after she returns. She is
studying Microbiology and Chemistry. Sheri is just starting her first year of
college at Utah State. She is looking
at studying either Landscape Architecture or Elementary Education. Fortunately,
they all have scholarships and have excelled in academics. Kailynn is a senior
in high school and is taking some college courses concurrently to get a jump on
her nursing career. She is the family sanguine
and will make anything fun and enjoyable. Emily is in 9th grade and works the
hardest of any of the kids in school. Allen is in 8th grade and also does real
well. All sing in choirs, play the
piano and have studied the violin thanks to a musically talented mom.
Church: I am serving as Scoutmaster again and love
it. I have to go camping, fishing and
hiking to magnify my calling. It’s a
rough deal. I served for 12 years in
the Young Men’s before being side tracked into callings as clerks, Elder
Quorums, Bishoprics etc. and am relieved to be back in the Young Men’s.
Education: Graduated from BYU.
Work: Taught Junior High for 13 years and now work as
a software developer for the school district.
Hobbies: Outdoors mostly fishing, camping, hiking,
backpacking.
Community: Enjoy harassing the mayor and city council
members every time they think they have to raise taxes to keep up with the
Joneses.
