Bio of Corey Pace

 

Family: Spouse: Marsha Hunt. Children: Daniel – 20, John -18, Patricia – 13, Shad Stone – 8. Daniel - 20 years old currently serving in the Mexico Monterrey South Mission.  Returns home June 2004.  Attended BYU prior to his mission.  Plays football, wide receiver, for BYU and red shirted before his mission.  All League, All Scholar, etc. Esperanza High School, Anaheim California.  Eagle Scout. John-18 years old currently attending BYU where he is on the Baseball team.  All League, etc. in Baseball and Football at Esperanza High School. Will leave in July for his mission.  Eagle Scout. Patricia-13 years old and is in eighth grade.  Captain of the dance team and enjoys being friend to all Shad Stone-8 years old and in 3rd grade.  Loves sports and scouts.  Likes to lift weights with his Dad and brothers. Marsha and Corey enjoy following their kids around.

 

Church: Served in all manner of callings.  Currently the High Priests Group instructor.

 

Education: B.S. Brigham Young University 1982

 

Work: After 20 years working in the Asphalt Business in various management positions I took a position as VP / Director of Operations for LaHabra Products Anaheim, CA.  LaHabra is the leading manufacturer of Stucco in the United States.

 

Hobbies: Sports, Skiing, Lifting Weights, and running, as well as following our children.

 

Community Service: Coach all sports.  Booster Club President.

 

Comps: too many to remember...Dave Waldie, John Osborne, Phil Wing (I still made it through the mission with these three as my first)

 

Areas Served: Heredia, Guanacaste, Teguc, La Ceiba, La Chorrera and the mission office.  AP to Pres. Muren.

 

Memories: Remember fondly the Monday hitchhiking adventures to write letters at the beaches in Costa Rica.  Tamarindo...Not a day goes by that I don't think about the wonderful experiences in Central America.  Probably reopening Nicaragua with Jim Garwis (sp) after Somosa and the missionaries had left.  Being the only Americans, it seemed, in the country.
