I have enjoyed many callings serving in the ward, as husband to RS president for 4.5 years, Stake HC and for past 5.5 serving as bishop. Favorite callings have been team teaching with my wife 7-8 yr olds in Primary, EQ Pres., even bishop!? After getting married, we returned to BYU. Two semesters and one baby later, went home to raise family...when kids were in HS, began process of completing BA in Pub. Administration, hope to finish this year. I have worked for Seminole County Public Schools for 20 yrs. I'm the water treatment tech and oversee all potable water, irrigation, chemical treatment for cooling towers, et. al. In addition, I own a private consulting/operations business with similar features. I/we enjoy baseball, volleyball, sports, swimming, paintball, travel and photography. We live in a small community that wanted to become a city. I helped write the City charter, ran for city council, and have served as Code Enforcement chairman for past 7 yrs. Although I quickly tired of arroz y frijoles, I enjoyed supplementing with bananas and Leche Lede. The people were wonderful to teach and my very enjoyable mission has given me experiences and blessings as a base for the rest of my life. This past December I received a call from former comp. E. Steve Flint. Somehow he had found me. He asked if I knew/remembered a young man we had baptized in San Isidro. I dug thru the old files, and sure enuf, I called back and confirmed. Turns out his son is serving in Costa Rica, and this hermano recognized his name tag. He asked if he knew of or might be related to an Elder Flint from 26 yrs ago. Que gozo mas grande when they realized that his dad and I had baptized this man. He later wrote to both of us expressing his great joy and love for bringing him into Christ's church. He married, serves faithfully, and raised 3 children—3 missionaries; youngest is now serving in Florida. What a fantastic Christmas gift!
