Bio of Mark Bailey
Family:
Married to Polly. We have five children:
Katie: 24, Beau: 22, Blake: 19, Kelsi: 14, Kendra: 10. My oldest daughter Katie graduated in
hospital administration and currently works at the church office building in
program management. She is also working on her MBA at the UofU (the other
university in Utah). Beau was on the BYU gymnastics team until they canceled
the program. He served in Argentina on
his mission. Blake is currently serving
in the San Bernardino, California Spanish speaking mission. He is really enjoying it. Kelsi and Kendra are both on competitive
soccer clubs. We spend our time going
to their games all over Utah and sometimes out of state.
Church: I have been in the bishopric for the last 5
1/2 years. I served as scoutmaster
(great calling), many callings in the young men’s, executive secretary (a
couple of times), stake clerk and several positions in primary.
Education: It took me a long time to figure out what
I wanted to do and I almost decided to go to school forever. This was a big change since I didn't do too
well at the high school level. Some
family members were very surprised when I decided to go to college. I have a BS
degree in Finance, BS in Electronic Engineering and also a Masters in Human
Resource Management.
Work: I work as a division manager at Hill Air Force
Base, Utah. My work is in program
management. The last couple of years I
have done some part-time work in program management consulting.
Hobbies: I enjoy being with the family. We like to camp and travel around to their
games. Grandma and Grandpa are in their
80's and they still go with us. We have
some great times. I like to fish, camp,
and even enjoy gardening.
The one thing I enjoyed most was the people. I will always remember how generous they
were. I loved the culture. This is something I will never forget.
