Bio of Mark Squires
Children: Joshua – 21, Christopher – 18, Spencer – 16,
Erick – 13. My kids are great but I
have less hair as a result of all life's lessons they have taught me. My kids are active in sports and I have coached
almost everything - soccer, football, baseball and basketball. Unfortunately,
right now I'm going through a divorce.
Because of job changes my family and I have lived in Toledo, the
Cleveland area, Kansas City, New Jersey, and now the Detroit area.
Church: Remember I live out in the mission field,
where you have less warm active bodies.
I have served in a Bishopric, High Priest and Elders' Quorum
presidencies, and as a Sunday School, Primary, and Seminary teacher.
Education: I received my BBA and MBA from the
University of Toledo.
Work: I have been selling employer stop-loss
insurance for the last six years. Prior
to that, I worked for three different Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans. Right now I'm between jobs, trying to find
one in the same field and area so my kids won't have to move.
Hobbies: Kids.
I've also become a student of history.
Comps: I hate to try to mention them in fear that I
would forget someone.
I am very grateful that I served with Mission Presidents and
companions that drove me to work hard.
Otherwise, I never would have been able to work full-time and go to
school full-time. My mission provided
me with experiences I will never encounter again. I will always be grateful.
