My
name is Steve McRae. I am Ed Eagar's caregiver. President Eagar and his wife are planning go to the reunion if
his health permits and it probably will.
It
would be great if Pres Eagar received letters of thanks and encouragement at
this time from some of his missionaries.

I just got back from my Mexico trip
to watch my son and the BYU team play soccer down in Monterrey. Great trip... On my way down, I stopped in and had a tear jerking experience
with President Eager and his wife Gwenna.
He was unexpectedly in top form.
I think the chance to speak to all his missionaries via videotape really
energized him, and Gwenna was right there, helping him a la Nancy Reagan. I got some great footage.

RE: President Eagar
Gwenna
called me last night with some sad news. President Eagar had a bad fall
November 10. He broke his femur and arm and, although the doctor said
this would be the "beginning of the end" has been recovering
since. He still is either in bed or a wheelchair. His broken leg is
1 1/2" shorter than his other leg.
She said that if President Eagar is capable, he will attend our reunion. She
said he is still tough as nails, but that this incident "has him down". He was at 232 pounds when he fell, and is at
around 185 now. Let's keep President Eagar in our prayers!
Sister Eagar also gave me the best address for reaching the Eagars. It is PO Box 2260, Pine, AZ 85544

I see President Eagar every few months. His home burned in Strawberry a couple of years ago and he has another home across the street where he stays on weekends and still attends the Pine Ward the last I spoke with him. But he has a home in Mesa, AZ and runs a trucking company from there, which he and his wife started a few years ago.

When
I last saw President Eagar, he was living in Pine and had just remarried (maybe
8 years ago) after Ella's death. Some time after that, a reunion was held
in SLC which he attended. Do any of you know of President Eagar?
Who may have attended that reunion? Were there directories handed
out? If any of you have an idea, let me know.
