Updated Bio of Ralph P. Cornell - 2008

My wife, Susan, is from Pleasant Grove.  We were married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1980.  I attended Dixie College, BYU and graduated in Nuclear Medicine Technology at Weber State University.  My wife is a graduate of USU and teaches 3rd grade in Lehi and I work at American Fork Hospital in Nuclear Medicine and am the department supervisor.

We have 5 children, 1. Tara Banks, 27 (Rusty) and 2 grandchildren, Halle and Joshua, 2. Natalie Bird, 25 (Michael), 3. Landon, 22, 4. Carlie Scofield, 20 (Daniel), 5. Cole, 18.

Tara and Rusty are graduates of USU (health and nutrition and electrical engineering) and live in Erie, Colorado.  Natalie and Michael graduated from the U of U (nursing) and BYU (actuary) respectively and live in American Fork.  Landon served in the Brazil Salvador Mission and attends UVU.  Carlie and Danny attend UVU and BYU respectively and live in Orem.  Cole graduated from high school this year.  All of my son-in-laws served missions and are great men.

Currently I am serving on the high council in our stake.  My wife is the ward organist and is a Primary teacher.

Right now my hobbies and interests are my children, reading, gardening, staying fit, traveling and family history.  My wife and I try to squeeze in trips to Hawaii, Florida, Las Vegas, Colorado, southern Utah, and the national parks or wherever we can get to at the time.

I had 16 companions.  They were:  David Holmes, Richard Johnson, Thomas Box, Herbert Thomas Orrell III (twice), Kenneth Moore, Mark Bennion, Jose Luis Echeverria, Bruce Carter, Clint Randall, Steve Barton, Monty Olson, DJ Webb, David Fish, James Midgett, Rolando Escobar, Mike Burton and Mark Keller.

I served in Tegucigalpa, Comayaguela, Colonia Kennedy, Matagalpa, Managua, Masaya, Panama City, David, Alajuela and San Jose.

Since the last reunion, I was able to find a family I taught in Panama City.  While on a trip to Florida a couple of years ago, I visited Mark and Pat Waldron and renewed old acquaintances.  The Lord guided me back to them again and we keep in contact on a regular basis.

I also completed a pretty awesome mission book for my posterity.  I was inspired and motivated from the great reunion we had last time.  I am amazed that I could do such a thing and have it turn out so good.  I definitely had help above and beyond my capabilities.

I recently met Elder Arnold of the Seventy who was a mission president in C.R.  It was great to talk with him about the mission.
