Bio of Ricardo Baldi
Family:
Married Lilliana (Lilly) Castro Rojas.
We have six children: Ricardo Paolo 23, Giuseppe 22, Giannina 21, Gino
19, Giovanni 17 and Carlo Antonio 15. I married one year after my mission. She kind of waited for me. Lilly is the love of my life - 24 years and
counting. All my kids live here in Arlington with the exception of my only Daughter
that lives in Bountiful with her husband. My second oldest son is also married.
Can you imagine, we have a Temple in Costa Rica. My dad is the first Counselor at the Temple.
Church: I am currently unemployed in the church. I attend a new Spanish branch here in Arlington
(one of my brothers is the Branch President). In Costa Rica I was a member of the High Council. I've done almost
everything in church.
Education: Started with Geology at the Universidad de
Costa Rica, then moved to Business Administration at the Universidad Estatal en
Costa Rica. After many years and because of one of my hobbies, I became a
Landscape Designer.
Work: After my Mission I worked for the Civil
Aviation Administration as a Chief of International Statistics, until 1982 when
I moved to Provo, where I worked at Whright's Furniture Mill (along with David
Johansen, Bryan Johnson and Ricardo Selva). I also worked at Fibertek in Provo
and Commercial Interiors in Midvale. In
1986 I moved to Texas and worked at Frito Lay for 13 years as an Extruder
Technician. In 1993 I started a
Landscape Company that I ran for 4 years part time. Became a full time business in 1997. I am now President and CEO of Baldi Gardens Inc., and I enjoy it a
lot more than any other job I ever had, even with the headaches that a business
brings to your life.
Hobbies: Gardening of course, but also hiking (in the
mountains of Texas?), reading and travel.
Comps: Victor Solano, David Bergin, Blair Howell,
Daniel Pernett, Mark Bailey, Alan Obray, Jerry Spangler, Scott Peterson, Miguel
A. Araya, Ricardo Morales Marco A. Baldi, James Ness.
Areas Served: Granada, Managua, Alajuelita, Pedregal
(Panama), San Pedro Sula, Comayaguela, Masaya, Guapiles.
Dichos: Chuleta.....I don't remember anything else.
Memories: Two of the best years of my life. Great companions, every single one of them.
