Family: Married
Kathi (Chapman) Hiatt. Children:
Karissa - deceased (born 4/29/82, died 2/2/83), Richie – 19, Kevin – 17, Kendra
– 15, Laci – 13, Shalee – 9. My wife,
Kathi, is a convert (she was baptized while I was on my mission) & the most
wonderful mate. We did not meet until
after my mission.
Richie is currently attending his freshman year at BYU. He recently received his mission call to the Washington Tacoma mission. He reports to the MTC on May 14. Kevin continues to prepare for his mission. He & his brother (until Richie went to BYU) have been in a band together. Kevin is the drummer so all practicing has to be at our house (at least we know where they are). He's also a high jumper on the track team. Kendra was our cheerleader until she reached high school & the team participates in competitions on Sundays so she decided not to continue. She's our perfect student. Loves to spend time either with her friends or on the phone with them. Laci had leukemia at age 6 but is in remission now. She is strong & healthy & just beginning the teenage years. Shalee keeps us moving as we get older. She is 9 but tries to act like her older sisters. She doesn't understand when she doesn't get the same privileges as her older siblings.
