Bio of Russell Barney

Married to Julia Barney in St. George Temple in 1982. 5 children (1 son 4 daughters). Adam 18 preparing for mission in June. McCall - senior in high school. Lauren - Freshman high school. Taylar - sixth grade. Jaramey - fourth grade

We have stayed in Southern Utah and live in Hurricane, Utah. I received my current College degree from Utah State University a Masters in Education. I have taught school for the last 15 years. I teach U.S. History to eighth graders. Also coach high school volleyball as well as other sports.

I serve on the Washington County Search and Rescue and, we (my wife and I ) run the city pool in the summer. For fun we go on adventure hikes and mountain bike. My wife has run 7 marathons and we love the outdoors.

We have remained active in the gospel and have served in many positions. I am currently serving in the Hurricane West Stake in the Hurricane 1st ward bishopric as second counselor.
