Bio of Shawn Packer

Jane
and I have 3 children - Caitlin 15, Meagan 14, McCall 10. I own a powersports dealership (motorcycle,
boats and RVs) in Ontario, California. We
enjoy motorcycles, bicycles, skiing and boating. I attended BYU for a few
years. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in business. I minored in Spanish. I
have a few Latin employees - I get a chance to speak Spanish fairly often.
A
few of my companions: Elders Mitchell, Howell, Wilson, Herber Thomas Orell III,
Garrigo, Colver... – my memory is not what it used to be. I served in Managua, Panama City, La Ceiba,
San Pete, Alajuela, and the greater San Jose area.
I
have nothing but the happiest memories of the mission days. I had so many great
experiences. I often bore my wife and daughters with old mission stories. I
took so many slides that I am not sure I have seen them all. My thanks to the
organizers.
I
don't hear from any mission buddies much. Life is so busy for everybody it is
hard to stay in touch. I saw Bob Loosle and Dave Riley a lot at BYU. I have
seen Chris Peterson a few times since (not a companion but a roommate in a
dumpy apartment in Panama with a prehistoric murals thanks to Kent Wilson) a
few times. Mike Mitchell (San Pete) is my insurance agent. I just got an email
from Blair Howell one of my Companions in La Ceiba.
If
anybody remembers me and wants to say hello give me a call or send me an e mail.
