Bio of Sondra (Ferre') Taylor

Following my mission I returned to my family in Pleasant Grove, Utah.  I enrolled in a nurse practitioner program at BYU, while there met my husband, Ron Taylor, who was a student.  After our graduation we moved to Salt Lake City and started having babies. Ron worked for QwestDex Yellow Pages as a sales representative and we ended up in St. George, UT for the last 12 years. This past year we moved back to Pleasant Grove. I have worked part time as a nurse, mostly at IHC hospitals, and have loved raising our children; 3 boys and 1 girl.

The Church has been a great blessing to us in raising our family!  Our oldest, David, is a senior at BYU, married and pursuing pre-med.  Danielle, our only daughter, is a senior at BYU Hawaii and will graduate in December.  Ben has been in the Florida, Tampa mission for only a month and is full of gratitude and enthusiasm.  Our youngest, Jacob is a senior in high school and somehow persuaded us to let him finish high school in St George.  So our nest is empty! I don't think I like it! But, the Lord has had compassion on us and just called us to be the young single adult advisors, so we'll be around young people again.

Life is great!  I served from Feb. 1976 to Aug. 1977 as a Welfare Service missionary. My first area was Tegucigalpa, Honduras then to Panama City, where we worked on a family preparedness workshop.  Later transferred to San Jose, Costa Rica where they organized their first Stake in the mission.  I ended my mission in Manugua, Nicaragua with sister Tana Martin. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the reunion!
