Bio of Stephen Barton
Family:
Married Debra Reid Barton. Children: Sidney 25, Morgan 18, Tim 15 and Beau 13. I stumbled into the most wonderful lady at a
dance. We danced well together so after
the usual and unusual, we got married. We have four children, one girl, and
three boys, in that order. Sid is married and has two children. They live in Pocatello. Her hubby is in school there. Morgan is in
his first year at Snow College. Tim and Beau live at home and attend High
School.
Church: So far I'm still a member. Haven't done
everything in the church, but have done a bunch of different callings. Education: Technical School,
Automotive industry. Business stuff. Work:
Mostly automotive and related repair work. I did it for 8 years in Orem, then
moved back to my hometown of Monticello, and worked for a local company for 12
years. This allowed me to help my father on the farm and ranch that we still
have and work together. I opened my own business and have enjoyed working it
with my boys and wife. Debra does the books and runs our home. We have been
very blessed.
Hobbies: I really enjoy work in all its different phases
- all kinds of it. In the past few years we have been able to travel some, it
has been very interesting and lots of fun for our family. We work on our dream
home a lot. It is out in the country and has really been enjoyable. Community: We live in a very small
town area, so everybody is involved with everything, the list is not very
impressive, but it never ends.
Comps: I think I had everybody for a short time at
least. I counted 18 once, so I won't try to make a list. Areas Served: Panama city, David,
LaCeiba, Granada, Managua, Leon, Hatillo, San Pedro. Returned to Panama and Costa Rica in 2001, for a visit. Need to
go again. The mission has been a real
guide in my life and a strengthening to my family. Learning and speaking the
Spanish language has benefited my life in many ways, and I get to use it almost
every day.
