Church: My church service has included numerous ward callings including being called as a bishop on two occasions. In 1994 we were called to preside over the Barranquilla, Colombia Mission in Colombia, South America from 1995 to 1998. All of our five children were with us and we thank the Lord for giving us such a wonderful experience with such wonderful missionaries and members. Presently, my wife serves as the ward Relief Society President and I am in the Stake Presidency.

Education: Received a BS in Biology, Doctor of Chiropractic, Post Graduate Studies in Orthopedics, Radiology, Rehabilitation, and an MBA degree.

Work: Worked as a Doctor of Chiropractic for eleven years opening a chiropractic, physical therapy and rehabilitation center in Folsom, California and then retired from that after serving the mission. After the mission I went to Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington where we relocated after the mission. Presently, I am in training to begin a new career in Chiropractic Consulting in nine northwestern states.

Hobbies: Hobbies and interests over the years have only been to raise good children. My social life and love has been to be with my wife, Colleen and the children. I have spent much time in church service and I guess one could say reading church books, preparing training, talks and other things for church has kept me busy. Management and leadership books have been a hobby. I do fish when I take the time.

Community: At present most of our community involvement has come primarally from the church service. I am a former member of the Rotary Club International, Toastmasters Club, and Chamber of Commerce of Folsom, California.

Memories: When the mission is mentioned, my mind goes back to that first mission. It was the greatest experience of many good friends and hard work. I had great relationships with all of my companions and loved the people with whom I worked. We all worked hard and we had a hard working mission president during my time, President Muren, who over the years became my mentor of hard work and church service.  For those of you who knew me, I was the "grandpa" in the mission having joined the church at the age of 20 in the beginning of my Air Force stint and not getting into the mission field till the age of 25. You may have known I was engaged to be married. Well fellows...I did get those letters three times a week for two years but I never read or wrote any except on Preparation Days...and I did not get a "Dear John" letter. We are soon to have our 25th anniversary. Colleen is still my number one today!
