We are building our dream home in Newcastle on 3 1/2 acres. We are excited to be out in the country and the kids all enjoy it. I have owned my own construction company for the past 8 years and enjoy being my own boss. We traveled to Ecuador to bring my oldest son home from his mission and we stopped by in Costa Rica and Nicaragua on the way home. My wife got the "heebee geebees" in Nicaragua with all the memories of me being caught in the war back in 1978. I visited the place where we hid for that week and it brought back some emotional memories. I was able to tract with my son and the Elders in Costa Rica. It was a great moment.
I have served in many callings including Elders Quorum pres., YM presidency, seminary teacher, bishopric member, ward mission leader, scout master, etc. etc.! My wife & I got married 8 weeks after I returned home from my mission. We both finished our AA degrees when our 3rd child was only 3 days old. Family took precedent over school and I started in the construction industry. I was a draftsman for years, drawing house plans and finally had to get out of the office and into the field. I became a project manager and finally started my own company.
My wife hates my hobby - I collect road kill in good condition. My boys and I love to skin animals. We have learned a lot and have donated a few that we have had prepared by a taxidermist to local schools. My wife always knows when we have a good find because we all become very quiet! I love working the land and gardening and being with my grandbabies.
